Polyphony Digital has added another three vehicles to drive and race, as Gran Turismo 7 Update V1.57 adds two cars and a van.
The arrival of the 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 2018 Aston Martin Vantage and the 2.5 litre Mazda CX-30 2021 crossover aren’t particularly remarkable. But the 2001 Renault Kangoo 1.4 does stand out as the little French van has built up a cult following in Japan. Produced between 1997 and 2018, it was also rebadged by both Nissan and Mercedes-Benz.
Apparently the ‘Kangoo Jamboree’ held at the bottom of Mount Fuji, is the largest meetup for fans of the MPV with thousands of people turning up each year.

The other big change with the update is that the Sophy AI has now evolved into version 2.1, which means it’s now available to drive rival cars in Custom Races, as long as you’re on the PlayStation 5 and selecting supported tracks and layouts.
As always, there are new events for World Circuits, a Collection: Suzuki Extra Menu, and you can now swap engines five more cars. Plus photographers can now play around in the Faroe Islands, which has been added to Scapes.

The known issues list has also been updated, with issues applying styles to the versions of the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept and BVLGARI Aluminium Vision Gran Turismo, which were given out free to eligible players on January 25th, 2024. The cars redistributed on January 30th or bought later are fine, so it’s recommended you delete the originals from your garage.
There’s also an issue with certain Race Events causing the game to crash on the Rewards and Racing screen, and completing Multiplayer races doesn’t let users progress further, which are both planned to be solved in a future update.
