A slightly smaller release for the motorcycle sim focuses on the user interface and experience with TrackDayR Update 1.0.1.0.117.036 released. After the most recent major update added Freestyle Motocross, it makes sense that developers Mad Cow might step back to work on UI and bug fixes for a little bit.
The biggest differences are probably the improvements to hosting and joining multiplayer events, along with adding controller settings to the pause menu. In the past, you’d have to return to the main menu which was a bit of a pain. And while you’re still limited to track days rather than structured racing, as last the session can’t accidentally be closed by anyone clicking Ready.
And while it’s not necessarily as exciting as new bikes and tracks, TrackDayR already includes a frankly ridiculous amount of content. But the experience can feel a bit clunky when you’re trying to get out on track, which is understandable given the small development team behind it. Any improvements to making it easier and more pleasant to navigate will definitely encourage more people to persevere or ride more.
