Running until March 20th, I’ve gone through all of the racing and driving games in the Steam Spring Sale 2025 to highlight some of the best choices, the biggest discounts, and anything that might be a cheap and interesting option to pick up.
There’s a huge list of discounted racing sims and games with prices discounted by up to 90% on some older titles, but here are some of the titles I’ve either already bought myself or plan to pick up in the sale.
Automobilista 2
I actually wrote a dedicated post on the discounts, as everything for the Reiza Studio racing sim is discounted between 25-70%. It’s still one of the more visually impressive titles, with a variety of cars and tracks which include many you don’t tend to find in other sims (particularly those from South American countries).
Asseto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione and Assetto Corsa EVO
It’s rare the original Assetto Corsa isn’t on sale these days, having been released in 2014. But if you don’t own it, then it’s worth picking up the Ultimate Edition bundle for £13.29 to experience the massive amount of mods available for the graphics, cars, circuits, and spin-offs like No Hesi.
Assetto Corsa Competizione is much more focused as the official GT World Challenge title, but if you like those cars, it’s 70% off at £10.49. And while Assetto Corsa EVO is very much a limited Early Access title right now, with 20% off, it’s as cheap as it’s likely to be for the next couple of years.
Le Mans Ultimate and rFactor 2
Another Early Access title, Le Mans Ultimate is the official FIA WEC sim, and while a lot of the content is in DLC packs which aren’t discounted right now, there are plenty of updates coming through with a 13% discount during the Spring Sale 2025. It’s a similar tale for Studio 397s 2013 release rFactor 2, with much of the content requiring additional payments, but the handling and physics models are still seen as some of the best ever created by sim racing fans, and at least it’s 84% off at just £3.99.
F1 Manager 2024
It’s the last official F1 management game likely to be released for the foreseeable future, as a planned 2025 title was cancelled. So if you want all the licensed content, it’s the best choice, with 65% off the standard game, dropping it to £10.49, and final updates adding a load of team creation and season customisation options to give you more flexibility to replicate future seasons.
Alternatively. Open Wheel Manager 2 is also discounted at £11.72.
RIDE 5
The latest release in the motorcycle series equivalent to Forza or Gran Turismo, allowing you to own and race a wide range of road and race bikes, the 2023 game is discounted by 75% down to £12.49, and the big list of DLC is also heavily reduced, along with the Special Edition which bundles in pretty much all of it. RIDE 4 is also reduced, along with RIMS Racing as an alternative.
World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing 24 Gold Edition
Developed by Monster Games, published and sharing assets with iRacing, and offering a more accessible arcade experience with elements of sim racing. If you want to try out dirt ovals, it’s reduced by 40% to £25.19, and was only released in February 2025, making it one of the newest racing games currently on sale.
BeamNG
Realistic physics and damage combined with an almost endless array of options for driving, racing, attempting to escape natural disasters and more. Along with Assetto Corsa, it’s pretty much an essential to own and experience as an alternative to constant competitive online multiplayer racing, and it’s 20% off at £15.36.
MX vs ATV Legends
After a sketchy start at launch, developers Rainbow Studios and publishers THQ Nordic stuck with the 2022 release, and significant updates have turned it into an enjoyable way to explore and race bikes, ATVs and UTVs, and it’s 60% off at £13.99.
Automation
It’s a game based on designing and building cars and your own company, with detailed tools to specify exactly what you want to produce. But if that’s not enough, you can actually export your creations into BeamNG, letting you drive, race and crash them. It’s 25% off at £18.74.
SnowRunner
All of the MudRunner and SnowRunner titles are discounted, but I’ve always found the 2021 SnowRunner to be a little more fun than the later 2024 release of Expeditions: A MudRunner Game as the later requires more thought and planning when you’re tackling routes, as opposed to just ploughing through roads with a big truck. And it’s only £12.49 with a 50% discount.
Other Discounted Titles
The licensed F1 and MotoGP series are all reduced, with F1 24 down 85% from £59.99 to just £8.99, and MotoGP 24 reduced 75% from £44.99 to £11.24 if you want to try them out and don’t need the upcoming releases for the 2025 seasons. Forza Motorsport is sginifcantly reduced by 50% from £59.99 to £29.99, and as always, there’s the long-running Need for Speed and older WRC games all bundled in the sale
And the sales are always a good time to stock up on content for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (base game reduced 75% to £4.22), and American Truck Simulator (also at the same price and discount).
Other arcade racing games discounted include Circuit Superstars, Art of Rally, Hotshot Racing, New Star GP, Super Woden GP 2 and lots more.
