In their seeming quest to simulate absolutely every type of motorcycle sport ever created, TrackDayR Update 1.0.116.106 adds freestyle motocross, along with two new FMX arenas suited to pulling Supermans, Cliff Hangers and Cordovas.
It was already possible to pull tricks on the motocross circuits in TrackDayR, but the system to perform them has been reworked. Now you’ll need to hold the LB button and move the right stick in the correct ways to trigger each trick, ensuring any combos are finished before you land. It follows the previous update which set the scene by improving the air physics for all the off-road bikes.
Tricks can be performed on the ground or in the air, depending on which manoeuvre you’re trying to do. So you can perform a Nac Nac in both situations, but obviously you’d need plenty of air to land a Superman Double Grab.

And to let you concentrate on freestyle motocross (FMX), there are two new arenas now available to ride, with the T-Games Stadium featuring three ramps and a massive airbag landing, or the T-Fhighter with ramps and quarterpipes in a historic Spanish bullring.
If you’re not fussed about FMX riding, then there are also some hopefully significant optimisation improvements coming from more efficient use of your CPU, and the Hell of Sand track has been reworked and the leaderboard reset.
And the new mode is in addition to the existing road riding options covering everything from scooters and minibikes to MotoGP machines, off-road including enduro and motocross, and the range of mod content released so far, with new stuff appearing fairly regularly (recent examples include a GTA IV map, the Yamaha Aerox 94cc, a Triumph TF250 and TF450 pack and loads more).
TrackDayR is available for the PC via Steam. And you can keep up with all the latest TrackDayR news, updates and release details, here. You can also check out the full TrackDayR bikes list here, and the TrackDayR circuit list, here.
