Despite announcing free roam game Over The Hill for 2025, and releasing Golden Lap in 2024, Funselektor Labs are still maintaining their most popular title, with the small Art of Rally Update v1.5.8 released.
There are only a few changes to note, but more performance optimisations are always welcome. And you can now avoid damage driving over some bridges, embankments and distance markers.
Art of Rally was originally released in September 2020 for the PC (along with Linux and MacOS versions), and has since been ported to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch and mobile, with iOS and Android versions.

Art of Rally Update v1.5.8 Release Notes:
Improvements
- performance optimizations (that could result in less dropped frames and improve microstutter)
Fixes
- fixed white halos around hashtag text under cars and paint and wash gate titles in MacOS
- driving over bridges in Karura and embankments in Franzenheim no longer causes damage
- driving over distance markers (10, 20, etc.) in Lammpi no longer damages the car
While updates did slow in pace during 2024, it’s good to see tweaks and maintenance still taking place, particularly for more niche platforms like Linux. A previous update (v1.5.7) arrived in October 2024 with updates to controller support and a handful of assorted fixes. The last major content release was the first and only DLC pack for the game, Art of Rally: Australia, back in November 2023.
You can also buy Art of Rally on Steam for the PC here, for Xbox consoles via the Microsoft Store, on Sony consoles via the PlayStation Store, or through the Nintendo eShop for the Switch. A mobile version is also available via the App Store and Google Play.
