The retro arcade racer gets new content and features, as a big Autumn update arrives for Old School Rally. The Fall 2024 release adds split screen local multiplayer, which is a welcome addition for any racing game. Along with new stages, rally events, weather effects and the Pada B82 car, which is seemingly inspired by the Fiat Abarth 131.
Old School Rally is currently available on Steam Early Access, having originally arrived in July 2024. A full release is expected by Summer 2025, with an expanded list of cars, tracks and features. It’s develoepd by one-person indie dev Frozen Lakes Games, who previously created the synthwave 80’s title Seaside Driving, and it’s published by Astrolabe Games.
It’s the second major update to the game since it arrived on Steam, with smaller monthly patches also arriving pretty regularly. Previous releases include the Arius Ubro R and Gemini T1000 cars which look a lot like a Toyota Celica and Sierra Cosworth.
