It may be time to upgrade your sim rig with the new Moza CRP2 Load Cell Pedals launched to pre-order during the first day of Gamescom 2024. The estimated shipping time will be early October 2024, with the throttle and brake listed for £399, and the clutch for £99. There’s also a performance kit for £19.90, and an inversion kit for £179.00.
The design of the new Moza CRP2 Load Cell Pedals is immediately apparent with the black aerospace-grade aluminium components and steel base, carbon fibre heel plate and the stylish use of bzone for parts and graphics. There’s a big difference with the existing CRP pedals launched a couple of years ago, featuring a slightly more utilitarian look, especially with as many wires, springs and screws hidden away as possible.
Both sets feature a 200kg load cell, but the new CRP2 pedals also get an ‘industry-first patented snsor fusion algorithm’ to combine it with a new 15-bit angle sensor to give even more precision for your braking.
You also get springs and elastomer bushes in 55, 70, 80 and 98 hardness levels (the first two in rubber, the latter pair in polyurethane), and with eight available blocks used at once, you can get up to 125 different combinations, offering the exact feel you prefer, from road cars to F3 or GT3 brakes. The pedals themselves also have a more ergonomic curved design, which will be more comfortable.
If that’s not enough, the optional performance kit includes 10 springs, various damping blocks, and a metal block. Which combined with those supplied with the pedals means up to 1,764 possible configurations, and the hard braking feel of an F1 or F2 car if that’s what you’re after.
Once again, there’s an adjustable throttle, which comes with two springs and also allows for continuous force adjustment. And the separate three-stage adjustable clutch also includes two springs and the same tool-free continuous force changes. If that’s not enough, you can also tweak pedal travel, angle, distance and face height (up to 30mm), along with the position of the footrest.
Finally, there’s also enhanced compability for the Xbox-compatible ESX wheel, as you can just connect the new CRP2 pedals directly to the base for console racing, along with connecting either to the base or a PC. And as you’d expect, they work with the Moza Pit House software for everything you might want to check and play around with.
The new Moza CRP2 Load Cell Pedals are available directly from Moza via the official website. Moza products are also available in the UK from resellers including Overclockers. And if you’re upgrading any part of your sim rig, you can find news of the latest wheels and pedals here.
