The number of virtual sims letting you buy, sell and fix cars seems set to continue with a new Car Dealer Simulator gameplay teaser video released by developers and publishers Garage Monkeys.
Set in Dustwind City, you’ll need to operate your business as an owner to dispatch tow trucks to collect old and new cars, conduct diagnostics, prepare each vehicle for sale and manage employees, customer service and your finances. It’s down to you whether you thoroughly repair a car or just give it a quick once over, and if you admit any defects when it goes on sale.
Independent Polish game studio Garage Monkeys are aiming to release Car Dealer Simulator in Q1, 2025, and are also working on a similar Car Rental Simulator around the iconic Route 66 in America.
More work involved in becoming a successful car dealer will include taking professional quality photographs, crafting your sale offers, and presenting them to customers, along with paying attention to advertising expenses and marketing costs.
As someone who actually works in marketing automotive companies on a regular basis, I’m not sure how much anyone would actually to experience the daily experience of working in a dealership. Or dealing with customer questions and complaints. But like a lot of car and motorcycle enthusiasts, I’ve often had daydreams about setting up a classic showroom, so Car Dealer Simulator might well scratch that itch without the real financial risks and sleepless nights.
It seems like there’s an entire industry of mainly Polish studios producing simulator titles, especially around cars and bikes, so there must be enough demand for them to make a profit on their work.
Car Dealer Simulator will be released for the PC in Q1 2025, and you can add it to your wishlist here. Or check out a whole range of mechanic and dealership titles for PC and consoles, here.
