One of the best ways to explore the wilderness in any off-road title is with at least one or more friends able to winch you out of a tricky situation. So it’s great news that finally Expeditions: A MudRunner Game adds a free co-op mode with the latest update.
It’s only available for the PC version of the game via Steam initially, but lets you now join up to three other people to work together. And it’ll be coming later in Summer 2024 to the Epic Games Store version, along with the console editions on the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Seres X\S and Nintendo Switch.
The co-op mode has been in beta for a while, and there are a few known issues, covered below. But I know from my own experience that having friends along for the ride makes a huge difference, whether you’re playing Mudrunner, Snowrunner or Expeditions. And it can make or break friendships when your companion has sent you down the wrong route, or driven off without helping you out of a tricky situation.
It also adds a lot of replayability, as the experience is different every time you’re tackling a task with another human involved. Whether or not they actually know what they’re doing.
