After launching on the Nintendo Switch in April 2023, Sunrise GP launches for PC and Xbox consoles via the Microsoft and Windows stores, with a Steam release planned for later in 2024.
The casual arcade racer is developed by Garage 5, and is designed for a laid-back feel with the cute retro graphics, synth wave soundtrack and locations from beaches to the mountains. The main difference from other titles is probably the fact the cars are inspired by those available in Eastern Europe in the past.
Sunrise GP includes 20 circuits and 21 cars, which can be raced in a Challenge Mode with time attacks and last man standing, Grand Prix, or via split-screen multiplayer for up to four people. Which makes it a good choice for couch gaming with family and friends. And your best times will make it onto the global leaderboard.
You’re able to customise the look of your car, including colours and vinyals, before capturing it via Photo Mode. And it’s also quite light on resources for PC gamers, requiring just an i3 processor, GTX 1050 graphics car and 2000MB of space. Obviously the new release also includes achievements for you to complete, with all 20 rewarding you with 1000 points. And most seem pretty simple to complete, if you’re trying to bump up your Gamerscore. It costs £12.49 for PC and Xbox consoles, which is actually £1 less than on the Switch.
Sunrise GP is available for the PC, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One via the Xbox store. You can also wishlist it for a Steam release on PC later in 2024, or find it on the Nintendo eShop for the Switch.
