You can now try out a trio of new cars with the RaceRoom BMW Pack 2024 DLC released from today. The paid content adds the BMW M2 CS Racing, the BMW M8 GTE and the BMW M4 GT4 at a launch price of £9.35 or 1099 VRP.
You can also buy the cars separately for £4.25 each, or as part of other collections and packs. And each comes with a selection of livery options costing 25p for additional paint schemes.
The 2021 BMW M2 CS Racing features the Powerstick upgrade, boosting the 3.0 litre inline six cylinder twin turbo engine from 365 to 450 horsepower, along with larger brakes and improved cooling. As the latest one-make cup vehicle, it’s based on the road version of the M2, with rear wheel drive, a seven-speed paddle shift gearbox, and a total weight with driver of 1620kg.
Also now available is the 2023 BMW M4 GT4 (G82), which also has a twin turbo engine, rear wheel drive and a 7-speed paddle shift gearbox. It can put out up to 550hp depending on race regulations (RaceRoom list it as 431hp in the sim), and you also get more advanced aerodynamics and handling. Technology aids include adjustable Traction Control, and the car model also includes the Fanatec GT4 illuminated steering wheel which was designed for both real and sim racing use, so you can see your wheel in action in the car as well. And there’s less weight, coming in at 1440kg with a driver included.
And finally, there’s the big boy, in the shape of the 2017 BMW M8 GTE (F92), with 600bhp, a twin-turbo V8, and a total weight of 1250kg with driver. The N63 engine was the first to be offered in a production car using turbochargers located inside the V of the engine, and the first petrol V8 turbo produced by BMW, with the P63 version of the 3,982cc motor used by the M8 GTE.
As a grand tourer built specifically for the class from the ground up, and offering 750nm of torque, it racked up wins in both FIA WEC and IMSA SportsCar races before the GTE class started to be dropped and replaced.
Along with the BMW Pack 2024 DLC released, KW Studios has also made a new RaceRoom update available, which has reworked traction control settings, added ABS level settings, updated the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve (Portimao), tweaked circuits including Imola and Circuit de Pau-Ville, and also made a few changes to cars including the VW Scirocco, Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Mazda MX-5, and Formula RaceRoom X-22.
