After already arriving for the Nintendo Switch and the PC via the Epic Games Store, Horizon Chase 2 launches for more consoles in May 2024. It will be available for the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S from the 30th of the month, with online multiplayer and crossplay covering all versions and platforms.
The latest in the series from Aquiris Game Studio, it first raced onto Apple Arcade in 2022, followed by the PC and Switch in September 2023, with 11 unlockable fictional cars and 66 tracks to enjoy in the arcade racer. The cars are customoisable as you race across six countries in the World Tour mode, and there’s local multiplayer alongside the online competitions.
It follows on from Horizon Chase (2015) and Horizon Chase Turbo (2019) from the Brazilian studio, and will once again feature music composed by Barry Leitch, who previously created music for classic arcade racing titles including Top Gear, Lotus Turbo Challenge, and some of the Rush series.
As you might expect from a modern racing title, there are various special events in-game, usually with cosmetic rewards for doing well.
You can find Horizon Chase 2 for the PC via the Epic Games Store, for the Switch via the Nintendo eShop, and via the Apple Arcade for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. And you can keep up with the latest Horizon Chase 2 news, DLC, updates and more, here.
