With an expected Summer 2024 release and various other gameplay improvements, we’ve now seen F1 Manager 2024 announced with a Create A Team mode.
It’ll sit alongside the normal career modes from the previous titles in the F1 Manager franchise, allowing you to create an eleventh, fictional team. So you could choose to add American Andretti, or emulate the garagistas like McLaren and Williams by building something under your own name.
It’s the first time you’ve been able to do that in the official F1 management title, compared to the official F1 racing game series, and other managment sim efforts (e.g. Open Wheel Manager 2 or Motorsport Manager). So it’s a welcome and good addition by Frontier Developments, and a reason to move on from previous games in the series.
Other reasons to consider the new game include a mentality system for drivers and staff, which means you’ll have to pay attention to individual and team motivation if you want to succeed, along with an enhanced AI both on track, and when it comes to drivers and staff potentially being lured away to join other teams.
There will also be new viewing options, the return of the Race Replay mode to try and do better than the real life results, and more impactful and “ever-present” risks of mechanical faults, which can be either temporary, reduced at the end of a session, or an impending failure.
The exact release date and other information is likely to arrive in a livestream on Wednesday March 27th, but we do know it’ll cost £29.99 for PC, PS4, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
You can find F1 Manager 2024 for the PC via Steam and Epic Games Store to add to your wishlists.
