There are a few things to note if you’re eagerly awaiting the latest in the annual Formula One franchise from Codemasters. With EA Sports F1 24 announced for release on May 31st, 2024, there are various time-limited bonuses and discounts.
Players of EA Sports F1 23 will be able to jump into Time Trial challenges with selected all-new 2024 team cars prior to the opening race of the real world season if you’ve already put in a pre-order. And existing owners of F1 2021, F1 22 or F1 23 get a 15% discount on the F1 24 Champions Edition.
Players will also get the McLaren and Alpine 2023 F1 eSports liveries, which will carry over to F1 24. And there will be a second wave of new season liveries arriving at the end of April.
If all of that wasn’t enough to tempt you, pre-ordering the Standard Edition gets you 5,000 Pitcoin and an F1 World Starter Pack. But pre-ordering the digital Champions Edition will entitle you to two new Formula 1 icons, 18,000 Pitcoin, an F1 World Bumper Pack and three days of early access starting from May 28th, 2024, along with one bonus VIP Podium Pass for all pre-orders.

The very subtle subtext is that EA and Codemasters would really like you to pre-order F1 24 if possible.
“For the first time, our F1 23 players can now connect immediately with the 2024 season with some of their favourite teams ahead of this weekend’s first Lights Out,” said Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters. “Our full reveal is coming soon, and we’re bringing players an overhauled Career mode, a new EA SPORTS Dynamic Handling System, and so much more.”
F1 2024 is listed for the PC at £59.99 for the Standard Edition or £79.99 for the Champions Edition on Steam, Epic Games Store and the EA App. For the PlayStation 4 and 5, it’s £69.99 for the Standard Edition on the PlayStation Store, or £89.99 for the Champions Edition on the PlayStation Store. And the same prices apply for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S with the Standard Edition and Champions Edition Microsoft Store listings. You can get a discount on all the console editions with EA Play membership.
More details on the career mode overhaul and the handling system is likely to be provided in April when a full reveal should happen. All we know for the moment is that the release date has moved closer to the start of the real world season starting, as F1 23 launched in June last year, and F1 22 was available in July of that year.
In the meantime, F1 23 continues to receive recent updates, and joined EA Play and selected Game Pass tiers at the start of the year.
