A handful of changes arrive with TrackDayR Hotfix 1.01.103.37 released just a few days after the major update which brought electric bikes and an enduro track to the motorcycle simulation.
The main improvements are a hotfix for laps not always being recorded in Time Attack, which could be frustrating if you’ve just recorded your fastest lap and it failed to register for no apparent reason. And apparently the issue of occasionally falling through the map has been improved, which presumably means it should happen a lot less often.
There’s also been a change to how whips look. This is how motocross riders move their bike in the air, which not only looks cool, but helps to correct the tracking, ensure they land back on the correct line for landing, and to save time spent in the air. When you’re not in contact with the ground, you can’t accelerate, so by moving the bike to the side or event vertically, you can gain a time advantage.
TrackDayR was originally released in 2021 for the PC and remains in Early Access currently, as the independent developers MadCow continue to add more bikes, tracks and motorcycle disciplines, from track riding to motocross and enduro. It’s also open and supportive of the modding community, so if you can’t find exactly what you want, the option exists to build it yourself.
