You can try two very different types of motorcycle experience as TrackDayR adds an Enduro map and electric bikes with the release of update 1.0.103.34.
The new 3km enduro track lets you ride through woods and over logs, climbing over logs, rocks and other obstacles. As a discipline, it’s all about timed cross-country competition, so you need to combine speed with knowing when to take care. The most famous example is the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE), which was first held as the International Six Days Trial in 1913, and previous competitors include Hollywood star Steve McQueen, who was part of the first-ever official U.S entry in the Silver Case category in 1964.
Electric motorcycles are another new experience for many riders, and the update brings two examples suitable for off-road and enduro riding, with the HMX-E having a more traditional motocross style, and the EV-6KW offering a more modern approach to trials and enduro. As someone with little off-road riding skills, I can vouch for the fact that the instant torque and lack of gears makes riding a lot easier, compared with my efforts on petrol-powered motorcycles in the past.
The update also brings some other fixes and improvements, including the ability to wear your number on the back of your rider jersey, changes to the algorithm handling dynamic ruts, and better steering management when you’re riding at under 20km/h, which is going to be important when you’re preparing to ride over an obstacle.
