You can now access the latest in the Codemasters Formula One franchise for nothing as EA Sports F1 23 joins EA Play and some Game Pass tiers.
As an EA Play member, you get up to 5,000 XP and faster Podium Pass level unlocks as rewards, along with a 10% discount on PitCoins. And it’s part of The Play List allowing unlimited game access. EA Play costs £3.99 per month (or £19.99 per year), with EA PlayPro at £14.99 per month (or £89.99 per year).
But as EA Play is also available to PC and Ultimate Game Pass subscribers as well, you might also have access through that route. On the PC platform, it does mean games don’t include any achievements, but you still get full access to the game.
EA Sports F1 23 was released in June 2023 as 16th entry in the Codemasters series. In addition to the overhauled handling, it saw the return of the Braking Point story mode, and the new F1 World to tie together all of the modes, including eSports and online.
As with recent titles in the series, you still get to work through seasonal podium Passes, and the opportunity to boost your XP by spending real cash on PitCoin.
Other racing games available via EA Play and the specific Game Pass tiers include the Need for Speed series including latest title Unbound, GRID Legends, Burnout Paradise and F1 22
You can find F1 23 for the PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, for the PS4 and PS5 via the PlayStation Store, or the Xbox One and Xbox Series X via the Microsoft Store. Physical editions of F1 23 can be found at retailers including Game and Amazon.
