Planned for release in mid-December 2023, the RaceRoom Official DTM 2023 Car Pack DLC has been announced with a total of 23 cars, including the new Ferrari 296 GT3 and Audi R8 LMS EVO II.
That number include the various team entries, so you get the five Audi R8 LMS EVO II cars raced by Abt, Engstler and Attempto, the four BMW M4 GT3s of Schubert and Project 1, the six Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evos from HRT, Mann- Filter, BWT and American Windward, plus six Porsche 911 GT3 Rs fielded by Toksport WRT, KUS Team Bernard and Manthey EMA, alongside the Emil Frey Racing pair of Ferraris.
The German series switched to GT3 regulations in 2021, and 2023 also saw ADAC take over as the promoter for the championship. Running from the end of May until October 21st, the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters driver champion was Thomas Preining, who took the title at the final round in his Manthey EMA Porsche 911 GT3 R. Manthey also captured the team championship, with the manufacturer title secured by Porsche.
One slightly notable omission seems to be the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO 2 raced by GRT Grasser and SSR Performance, including by series runner-up Mirko Bortolotti, but for some reason the Italian manufacturer has always been absent from the RaceRoom platform.
But the sim racing service does continue a long association with DTM, dating back to the 1992 series, and covering 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2020 and 2021. And seven of the eight locations from the 2023 championship are available to race at, with Oschersleben, Norisring, Nurburgring, Sachsenring, Red Bull Ring, Hockenheimring and Circuit Zandvoort (2019) all simulated. The one omission at the moment is the Lausitzring.
No price has been revealed with the new RaceRoom Official DTM 2023 Car Pack DLC announced, but the 2021 pack is currently £11.09 via the RaceRoom Store, while the more recent WTCR 2022 pack is £16.22 as a rough guide.
