ASR 1988 McLaren MP4/4 V1.0 Released For Assetto Corsa

Experience an iconic era of Formula One with the ASR 1988 McLaren MP4/4 V1.0 released for Assetto Corsa.

ASR Formula have been creating modded content for the racing sim for a while, with open wheel cars covering various years from 1982 until 2007 at the moment. The same selection are also available as mods for rFactor 2, if that’s a sim you prefer.

The V1.0 of the 1988 McLaren memorably driven by Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost costs €4.99 via the ASR Formula website, and includes the following improvements.

• Add 3D Exhaust
• Update Tyres Texture
• Improve Shaders and Materials
• added EXT_config.ini parameters
• Generated Lods
• Update Physics

If you own a previous version, you’ll need to delete any existing files, before copying the content folder insider “AC Files” o your AC Directory. And installing the ASR Formula custom driver inside “assettocorsa\content\driver”.

You can modify the files for personal use, or use the car in league racing, although ASR Formula ask you get in touch with them regarding using the content for your own championship or series.

There’s a huge range of modded content available for Assetto Corsa from a variety of sources, and obviously we can’t vouch for anything occurring as a result of you installing third party content, as even if we’ve tested and use the mods, it’s impossible to analyse every line of code.
