The ultimate model vehicle construction game has just got a little more interesting, as Kitbash Model Club announces a 16-Player online mode.
Coming from Floating Origin Interactive, started by Kerbal Space Program creator and former lead developer Felipe Falanghe, we mentioned the game when it was first announced for a release on Steam in 2023. Because along with planes and boats, you’re able to create your dream radio control car, and then challenge other plays to battle with their creations.
And there’s definitely a bit of a crossover between fans of sim racing, and RC cars, so Kitbash could appeal to anyone that’s enjoyed playing around with a Tamiya kit and wanted more flexibility. Or just fancies experimenting without waiting for another battery pack to finish charging.
The new mode allows you to share the fictional Wirraway Island, which includes a variety of environments. And you’re able to use test and share your creations, along with using the scenario editor to build multiplayer missions to take on.
Along with the multiplayer mode, there’s also a career option for single players, and a sandbox option for messing around with your vehicles. And the models you build can include weapons like paintball guns and rockets, along with your choice of batteries, motors and more.
Given the experience of the orbital physics engine used for Kerbal Space Program, which allows for real-life manoeuvres, you’d imagine the aerodynamics model used for Kitbash will be pretty good, especially as it will apparently respond to even minor changes in vehicle design.
Kitbash Model Club will be available for the PC via Steam in 2023 and you can wishlist it now. And we’ll be continuing to follow the progress of the game with all the latest Kitbash Model Club news, updates and more, here.
