Two more states will be included in the haulage title soon, as Nebraska will follow Kansas into American Truck Simulator. SCS Software have shared a number of cities and locations for the Kansas DLC, suggesting it’s near completion. But with no official release date scheduled yet, they’ve already revealed Nebraska will be following in the near future.
The 16th largest state in America, it shares borders with South Dakota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and Wyoming, with the latter two already available as American Truck Simulator DLC, and Kansas arriving soon.
More details of the landmarks and locations being included will be revealed by SCS Software in the future, but the Platte River is mentioned as one notable feature of the Cornhusker State, running through the central part of Nebraska. Other rivers which might be included are the Niobrara in the North, and the Republican in the South.
The biggest city is Omaha, with more than 450,000 residents, followed by the capital in Lincoln, Bellevue and Grand Ireland. Notable businesses include the Kool-Aid soft drink, the headquarters of Berkshire Hathaway, and the world’s largest train yard, Union Pacific’s Bailey Yard, along with a large agriculture sector.
Kansas and Nebraska follow the recent release of Oklahoma at the start of the month, with a releated event running until October 1st, 2023. You can wishlist Kansas on Steam, here, along with Nebraska, here. And given the methodical progress of SCS Software filling in the U.S map from West to East, it seems likely North and South Dakota will be the bext states to be announced.
