You can celebrate the Psyonix car football game approaching a decade as the Rocket League 8th anniversary begins with Birthday Ball.
The official date to reach eight years will be July 7th, 2023, but until July 12th you can complete event challenges for rewards including an 8th Birthday Crown Player Banner, Hemi Birthday Player Anthem, and up to 300 Credits. Golden Eggs can also be earned to unlock items from Champions Series 1-4.
Limited time modes will also be available with 3v3 Supercube until July 5th, and 2v2 Beach Ball from then until July 12th, plus there are birthday-themed items also available to purchase via the in-game Item Shop, along with new painted vehicles in the Car Show Item Shop Tab, with 10 headed by the Grey Octane until July 5th, and 10 more led by the Gold Dominus until July 12th.

Following on from Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, which was released for the PS3 in 2009, Rocket League first arrived for PlayStation 4 and PC in July 2015, followed by other versions. Along with the development of eSports, including the Rocket League Championship Series, the other big change was when it became free-to-play in 2020. It’s also been an instrumental title in the adoption of cross-platform play.
