You can now secure your copy of the Nintendo Switch pit team party game as Speed Crew pre-orders open for a June 8th, 2023 launch via the Nintendo eShop. And it’s been revealed that there are plans to also publish PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions in the future.
There doesn’t seem to be any bonus for investing early, but at least it means you won’t forget about the game between now and release date, and it’s available for $19.99/€19.50/£16.75. Developed by Ukraine-based Wild Fields, you’ll need to change tyres, refuel the race cars, repair damaged surfaces and more as you play with up to three other crew members. Both local and online multiplayer are available, and other challenges include moving floors, weather changes or locking gates to make things more difficult.
There types of party game aren’t particularly unusual, as we mentioned when Speed Crew was first announced. But if you’d rather play a title which sets levels in various classic motorsport eras, rather than cooking or moving house, then it seems like a perfect fit.
At launch, Speed Crew will feature more than 48 levels, and over 40 ways to fix the cars. Some of the repairs will require a multi-step processes, and from personal experience, even playing these games with your most loved family members can soon descend into chaos fairly quickly.
