It’s almost a year since Frontier Developments released their officially-licensed management title, and as you might expect, F1 Manager 2023 is coming soon.
No details have been released, aside from a logo and a landing page, which carries both the licenses for FIA F2 and F3 alongside F1, and the logos for Steam, the Epic Game Store, PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
‘Soon’ might mean another August release, but it’s possible that F1 Manager 23 could arrive a little earlier this year, given than Frontier Developments have the experience and code base from the first title available.
The Cambridge based company reported more than 600,000 sales for F1 Manager 22 across all platforms, but sales over the 2022 holiday period were below expectations, as revealed in the most recent FY23 Interim Results. Frontier CEO Jonny Watts was quoted in the report; “As we look forward, there are important lessons we have learned for the F1 Manager franchise, including making the game more accessible and engaging to a wider audience. I am confident that we have delivered a good first game to build upon.”
It’ll be interesting to find out what that increased accessibility and engagement looks like, particularly when there were hiccups with post-launch support and the management simulation feeling a bit light after the challenge of your first -in-game season as your research and driver development outpaces the AI teams.
F1 Manager hasn’t been listed on any of the online stores or via physical retails yet. But you’ll be able to keep up with the latest F1 manager 23 news, updates and more, here.
