It’s been a while since we covered the first announcement of the touge racing sim from Plutonization, which originally had a launch date planned for December 2022. But with a new free Rev To Vertex Prologue Demo and potential release date in June 2023, it seems things are moving once more.
It’s the second demo version to have been made available, and allows you to try out the game so far, with a practice session and a section of a Hong Kong route to try out. A total of nine stages range from easy to hard difficulty levels, and the final two are designated as Hell difficulty. You’ll need to get bronze in the first eight sections to unlock the ninth.

Rev To Vertex focuses on touge racing, but despite the 1:1 setting of Hong Kong, the challenge is to distance your rivals, rather than impressing people with drifting. Going sideways is fun, but not essential, as it’s about disapearing out of site as quickly as possible.
Along with the training mode, and a total of five sedan and GT cars, the Prologue demo should also be getting a leaderboard and free play mode by the end of April, 2023, allowing you to explore the Tai Mo Shan region or start competing with other Rev To Vertex racers.
With a potential release date now mentioned for June 2023, there’s not much time for the Plutonization team to make substantial changes to what’s in the Prologue. So it’ll be interesting to see how it evolves over the next few weeks and months, and what appetite sim racers have for mountain pass racing.
