Most sim racers are used to changing gears with twin paddles, but that can be an issue when you’re racing off-road, especially if you also need to be managing a handbrake. But that’s not an issue with the new Sim-Lab Push-Pull Rally Shifter now available for €199.00
It features a 5mm motorsport-grade carbon-fibre paddle, with a base and mount made from billet aluminium. And that means you can change gears whilst keeping one hand on the wheel, leaving the other free to either maintain control or grab a handbrake.
Using the same system as a WRC driver also adds to the immersion when you’re driving. And it’s compatible with all PC simulator titles, and popular wheelbases including the Fanatec DD1/DD2, ClubSport, CSL (DD) and CSL Elite, the Simucube Sport and Pro, Simagic Alpha, VRS Directforce Pro and OSW/SC1.
You also get three sets of arms included, so you’re able to mount the Pull-Pull Rally Shifter in a comfortable position, and with a quick release system, you can fit or remove it quickly when you’re switching to other sim racing disciplines. It will connect via an included USB cable.
The Dutch Sim-Lab company has been producing sim racing hardware since 2015, including as a partner of Mercedes-AMG Petronas Esports. So you’d expect the new shifter to be solid, reliable and long-lasting. Especially when the frantic nature of rally driving or competing off-road doesn’t always lend itself to gentle gear changes.
Obviously, it’s also a potential solution for anyone who needs one-handed gear changes due to any disability or physical issue, and making sim racing more accessible is always a good thing.
The new Sim-Lab Push-Pull Rally Shifter costs €199.00 excluding delivery costs, and you can order it via the official website.
