Fancy having arguments with friends and family while you fix a racing car? Speed Crew is a pit team party game for Nintendo Switch due out on June 6th, 2023.
If you’ve ever played games like Overcooked or Moving Out, you’ll have an idea of the chaos that occurs when you have to try and work with other people to complete a job. And like a professional kitchen or house movers, a good pit crew needs to be efficient and organised. Especially when the game includes more than 40 ways to fix cars, with many involving multiple steps.
Along with the fact you won’t know what repairs are required until the car enters the pit box, Ukraine-based developers Wild Fields have also added locking gates, moving floors and sudden weather changes to make it harder to replace tyres and fix damage.
From hammering out dents to replacing engines, it could be a lot of fun to trying to get your driver back into the race as quickly as possible. And it’ll give you a new respect for the three second pit stops carried out by top F1 teams.
It’s also interesting to see games covering the areas of motorsport besides driving, whether that’s the serious approach of F1 Manager 2022 and Motorsport Manager, or something like Speed Crew considering the number of people involved in any professional racing team.
Speed Crew offers local and online multi-player for up to four members of a pit crew, with visuals inspired by various decades of motorsport. In total, there will be more than 48 levels at launch with dynamic hazards meaning no two pit stops will be the same.
Speed Crew will be released for the Nintendo Switch on June 6th, 2023. And you can keep up with the latest Speed Crew news, updates and DLC, here.
