There’s typically always work going on behind the scenes of sim racing, even when things have seemed a little quiet at times. And that’s the case with Assetto Corsa Competizione Hotfix V1.8.20 released by Kunos Simulazioni.
It’s a very short list of changes, but with Balance of Performance (BOP) adjustments for all GT4 cars arriving just prior to Christmas, it could make a big difference if you’re planning on any competitive sim racing in that category. So you might want to do some more testing before making a final decision for any league racing.
There are also some slight tweaks to the agressive settings for the Mercedes AMG GT3 EVO. The last notable update for ACC was the release of the new liveries from the 2022 Spa 24 Hours back in November, along with new content and patches slowly making their way across to the console versions of the game.
Plans for 2023 include the Fanatec GT2 European Series and 2023 GTWC Europe grids, including new models arriving on track. Cars confirmed include the Ferrari 296 GT3, Lamborghini Huracan EVO2 and Porsche 992 GT3 R, with a planned release for the new real world season starting in Monza. So it’s understandable the Kunos Simulazioni team might have been a bit busy working on future content, whilst making smaller improvements to allow competitive eSports competition in the meantime.
