To build excitement for the forthcoming release of the new Flashout 3 from developers Jujubee, you can get Flashout 3D: Enhanced Edition for free on the PC via Steam from August 31st, 2022.
The original Flashout 3D was released more than 10 years ago, and returns as a remaster with updated graphics and new features. Polish-based Jujubee was formed by former members of CD Projeckt Red, Traveller’s Tales and Infinite Dreams, and the PC, iOS and Android title includes a career mode, upgradeable ships, a varietry of weapons, and a typically electronic soundtrack. And while we’ve seen a fair number of futuristic anti-gravity racers released both before and after Flashout (F-Zero, Wipeout, Pacer, Redout 2, Vergeworld, Voidspeed Outlaw and more), it’s always nice to be able to grab a game for free.
Which is also true of the new title, as there’s a playbale Flashout 3 demo released on Steam with one Star City circuit, one ship and three types of weapon available in a three-lap race. The new title will be launching in 2022 across PC, PS4 and PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S with a release date scheduled for the PC version of September 22nd, 2022.
On PC, Flashout 3 will support both VR and motion simulators, which marks it out from some of the competition. Along with a split screen mode, which lets you choose to share your TV or monitor either horizontally or veritcally.
