If you enjoy the sideways sliding title, you’ll be pleased to see CarX Drift Racing Online Update 2.14.3 adds new cars, including the Daisho Color Mercury Sayaka SPL of racer Sayaka Shimoda, and the Long River saloon.
The update has come out across PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game. Console players can access the Sayaka car if you’re Level 5 or above, and have $80,000 in-game credits. But PC drifters will have to purchase it as seperate DLC for £3.99 via Steam. Which seems slightly odd, but given that console racers often miss out or get delayed updates and content for a lot of racing sims and games, it’s hard to begrudge them one benefit, I suppose.

Shimoda is a Japanese female D1 drifter who is not only a top competitor in D1GP, but is also a Communications Director for D1 Next 10 Years, and a tourism ambassador for Annaka City, which is one of the locations featured in Initial D. And her preferred drift machine is a Mercury Auto’s Nissan Silvia S15, hence the name of the car.
Aside from the headline car, the update also brings the Long River saloon based on a Volga GAZ 24, and some other fixes and improvements.
