It’s a familiar snowy scene as the Wreckfest Winter Fest Tournament returns for 2022. The annual update brings back cold weather and the challenge of using the toy car and snowballs to destroy anything in your path.
As always, the new tournament season brings a selection of demolition races and derbies, and time attack challenges which rotate on a daily and weekly basis to allow you to earn Fame Points, which can then be redeemed in the Tournament Shop. And the new 2022 Winter Fest brings a new reward for 20,000 Fame Points, with some classic paint jobs from the Killer Bee which hark back to when the game was in Early Access.
Alongside the tournament comes a small update with some bug fixes for console editions of the game. Having recently launched new versions for the next generation PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, Wreckfest is also due out to arrive on the Nintendo Switch in the near future.
So if you enjoy a bit of damage with your racing, then it’s the perfect way to unwind after some stressful sim racing. Or just to experience driving a toy car or motorised portaloo in the snow. It runs from now through February, so make the most of the snow-covered circuits while you can.
