You can grab an extra racing track for nothing as the free RIDE 4 Bonus Pack 04 adds the Daytona Circuit to the motorcycle game from Milestone.
The new DLC also adds five extra events to enjoy for the PC and console editions of the game. Milestone has already released 10 new content packs for the game, with three Bonus Packs available for free, and six paid DLC packs, including the Kyalami and Valencia circuits. Previous Bonus Packs have just included a single bike, so it’s interesting they’re adding an entire circuit for free.
Best known for the Daytona International Speedway tri-oval, two infield road courses exist at the venue. The first was constructed in 1959, but in 2005 a second configuration was created primarily for motorcycle racing, bypassing some of the banked turns due to concerns about tyre wear.
Grand Prix motorcycle racing actually started competing at Daytona from 1961 until 1965 but hasn’t returned since then, despite the addition of the Indianapolis GP from 2008 until 2015, and the Grand Prix of the Americas since 2013.
The biggest current motorcycle event is the annual Daytona 200 which has been won by notable motorcycle racers including Jarno Saarinen, Giacomo Agostini and Kenny Roberts in the 1970s, Roberts, Eddie Lawson, Freddie Spencer, Kevin Schwants and Wayne Rainey in the 1980s, Lawson, Scott Russel and Miguel Duhamel in the 1990s, and Matt Mladin, Nicky Hayden, Chaz Davies and Ben Bostrom in the 2000s.
Confusingly, the Daytona 200 uses the car configuration except for one tight hairpin. The exact layout isn’t confirmed anywhere, but the screenshots suggest it’s the bike circuit that’s included in the free DLC
