You can celebrate the title of Mick Schumacher, and see if you could have done better, as the new free F1 2020 Update 1.14 adds the 2020 F2 season to the game, including drivers, teams and liveries.
The F2 championship is a spec series, with all teams running the Dallara F2 2018 chassis, which was scheduled to retire at the end of the year until the Covid-19 pandemic delayed this for another three seasons. Since being updated to the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2017, the previous champions have been Charles Leclerc, George Russell and Nyck de Vries. And it’s the main feeder series for Formula One, with around 20% of drivers graduating to the top championship.
Differences include less downforce, and no power steering. The calendar also features 12 weekends with both a Feature race, and a Sprint race which reverses the top eight positions. The 2019 F2 cars and teams were included with F1 2020 at release, but it’s nice to have the latest liveries and drivers represented now.
The 2020 F2 teams being added with F1 2020 update 1.14 are listed below, along with the drivers who competed for them in the disrupted real 2020 season:
