The latest DIRT 5 video shows Ultra Cross World RX in Italy as the game gets closer to launching on November 6th, 2020 for the PC, Xbox One and PS4.
If you’re not familiar with the FIA World Rallycross Championship, it features cars which look like production models. But under the bodywork they will have 600bhp, two litre turbos with sequential six-speed gearboxes and four wheel drive.
So you get the acceleration of a Formula One car up to 60 or 100mph, but on dirt.
The trailer also shows Italy as a location, racing in a marble quarry benath the Ponti di Vara bridge between Genoa and Pisa.
Robert Karp, DIRT 5 Development Director, says: “Italy has proved to be an incredible setting for racing. Carving out routes within a quarry, an abandoned marble mine, and underneath the stunning Ponti di Vara bridges challenged the team, but players will love the experience.
“Having FIA World Rallycross cars in DIRT 5 was a must, not just for their speed and agility, but their stylish aesthetic, and a perfect fit for a game like ours.”
DIRT 5 is released on Friday 6th November, 2020 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions are scheduled to follow shortly after, with a Google Stadia edition due in early 2021.
You can pre-order DIRT 5 digital on Steam for the PC, the Micrsoft Store for the Xbox One, or the PlayStation Store for the PS4. Or purchase physical copies via Game (with exclusive Ford D150 Raptor Pre-Runner bonus) or Amazon.
