Time to go endurance or GT racing once again with the 2020 Bentley Continental GT3 and a GT3 BOP update for rFactor 2. The new car is available free to any racers who already own either the existing 2017 Bentley Continental GT3 DLC, or the rFactor 2 GT3 bundle.
Bentley has competed in GT racing since 2014 with the Continental, including victory in the 2015 Blancpain GT Sprint Series and various race wins. The new racing machine was developed alongside the third generation of the road model, and since appearing in 2018, it’s won at the 2019 Circuit Paul Ricard 1000km and 2020 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-hours.
The 2020 Bentley Continental GT3 is powered by a new development of the 4.0 litre Bentley twin-turbo V8 which produces around 550bhp when unrestricted. And it weighs under 1300kg, with a more even weight distribution than the previous version.
Changes also include a redesigned dry sump system, all-new intake and exhaust systems, better fuel consumption, new suspension and braking systems and better aerodynamics.
You will automatically find the new 2020 Bentley Continental GT3 downloading if you already own either the previous 2017 version or the GT3 pack. If not, you can buy the Bentley Continental GT3 DLC for rFactor 2 including both versions from Steam for £4.56. Or the GT3 bundle with 12 cars including the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Audi R8 GT3 2018, Audi R8 GT3 2019, Bentley Continental GT3 2017, Bentley Continental GT3 2020, BMW M6 GT3, Callaway Corvette GT3-R, McLaren 650S GT3, McLaren 720S GT3, Mercedes AMG GT3, Porsche 911 GT3 R and Radical RXC Turbo GT3 for £27.40 on Steam.
In addition to the new car, Studio 397 has also added a new GT3 BOP update for rFactor 2. The Balance of Performance changes aim to make the endurance and GT racing realistic and fair, especially as the developers note it’s easier for sim racers to quickly swap to the best car without the real world financial cost and implications.
The GT3 changes also include physics and in-car dash updates which should mean you’ve got a change of victory whichever manufacturer you decide to race with.
