Fans of Formula One might be aware that the British Grand Prix takes place this weekend. And Codemasters are celebrating it (and the 70th Anniversary GP taking place next week at the Northamptonshire track) with F1 2020 Silverstone Hot Lap and Track Guide videos.
As you might have guessed, they’ve chosen two of the British drivers in F1 to be featured in the videos. But the focus is on the younger talent as they take us for a Silverstone Hot Lap with the Williams FW43 of George Russell.
And if you want some tips on how to lap the 3.660 mile Silverstone circuit, then it’s worth checking out the F1 2020 Track Guide for the British Grand Prix, with sim racer Lando Norris in the McLaren MCL35.
All of which should help build excitement over the weekend and encourage you to emulate the F1 stars.
The former airfield first hosted the British Grand Prix in 1948, and permanently since 1987. The circuit may be relatively flat, but it’s fast and flowing with the lap record for the current Arena GP circuit set at 1:27.369 by the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton in 2019.
In addition to the circuit itself, a host of motorsport companies are based at, or around, the Silverstone area. That includes the Racing Point F1 team, who compete under a British licence, and will become Aston Martin in 2021.
And if the F1 2020 Silverstone Hot Lap and Track Guide videos have inspired you to take a new interest in the game, you can check out all the latest F1 2020 news and updates, here. As well as seeing all the historic and support class cars available to drive in our F1 2020 car list.
Don’t own the game yet? F1 2020 is available for the PC on Steam, the Xbox One on the Microsoft Store, the PS4 on the PlayStation Store, and the Google Stadia. And you can order physical copies from Game and Amazon.
