A slightly shorter list of updates and improvements come to the competitive sim racing title with iRacing 2020 Season 2 Patch 7 released now. As with many of the recent releases, it adds more tracks for the AI racing part of the game along with a minor tweak to tyre wear for the Audi RS 3 LMS.
Other changes are mainly to audio and visual elements aside from updated season setups for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Chevrolet Silverado and Toyota Tundra. But we’ll never complain about better backfire sounds in a racing game.

iRacing 2020 Season 2 Patch 7 Changelog
AI Racing
- The following tracks have been enabled for use by AI Racing:

Heat Racing
- Fixed an issue with Events that do not include Heat Sessions where the top Qualifiers were not gridded inversely when this setting was specified.

Audi RS 3 LMS
- Tire compound has been adjusted to slightly reduce wear.
Ford GT – 2017
- The duration of the compressor run for pneumatic gearshifts has been increased to 3.0 seconds to prevents overlapping. Also reduced the pressure drops at each actuator fire, which reduces the frequency of fire for the compressor.
NASCAR Gander Outdoors Chevrolet Silverado
- Season setups have been updated.
NASCAR Gander Outdoors Toyota Tundra
- Season setups have been updated.
Street Stock
- Fixed an aesthetic issue with some metal on the window net.
Tracks:
Dover International Speedway
- Some signs, billboards, and advertisements have been updated.
Talladega Superspeedway
- Fixed a flag that would not obey the wind.
With iRacing 2020 Season 2 Patch 7 released, it’s worth logging into the game a while before race time to ensure you’ve downloaded the mandatory updates. Otherwise you’ll end up missing the start of your race.
