There’s a new TruckAtHome event for ATS and ETS 2 running until April 6th, 2020, with a range of rewards available.
It’s a challenging time for all of us, and SCS Software are no exception as they continue to beta test upcoming updates for American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Despite this, they’ve stil launched a new TruckAtHome event for ATS and ETS 2 games as a salute to haulage drivers still working. And to keep everyone self-isolating entertained.
Due to the current beta testing, the SCS Software team couldn’t add new content into the games as they have for previous special events such as Christmas Giving 2019, or the Pink Ribbon Charity Event.
So this is a bit different.
#TruckAtHome event for ATS and ETS 2
There are no special containers or loads for the #TruckAtHome event, so the mileage for individual and community rewards will come from everything you complete using either External Contracts or the External Market, with a World of Trucks-connected profile.
Instead, there are two paintjobs for American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 which are freely available to download via the Steam Workshop for each game. Please note that the paint mods are not compatible if you’re running the 1.37 beta of either game.
To get the Personal reward, you’ll beed to reach a combined panned route distance of 2,500km (1,600 miles) or more by April 6th. This will get you a World of Trucks achievement, and after the release of the 1.37 update, you’ll also get a special Steam inventory item reward which will be announced in the future.
The Community reward is triggered at every milestone of 20,000,000 km (around 12,500,000 miles). Each time it’s reached, SCS Software will offer Steam keys in a special social media giveaway campaign. And they have also pledged to ” undertake a positive action to help those who are combating COVID-19 for each milestone reached and will announce these on a case by case basis.”
You can download Euro Truck Simulator 2 for the PC on Steam, or American Truck Simulator, to take part. Or take a look at our latest Euro Truck Simulator 2 news, or our American Truck Simulator coverage (we also have the full list of trucks officially available in ATS).
