The iRacing subscription model makes it a little different to most racing games. By paying the standard membership fee, you get access to 26 vehicles, with 83 more available as additional purchases. You can see the full official iRacing car list below.

It’s worth noting that unlike DLC in most games, any additional purchase grants you a license to use the vehicles while you have an active subscription. So if you stop paying your subscription, then you can’t use any of the extra cars you’ve bought offline, until you renew your membership.

Cars typically cost $11.95 unless there is a sale or special offer. So rather than trying to buy them all just to own everything, it’s best to try series with the cars included in the standard member package, and then choose specific championships and cars to focus on.

Certain cars in the full official iRacing car list have been marked as archived, which means you can still use them for solo practice, but they aren’t used anymore for official races.

Latest update: Added the new Dirt Outlaw Micro Sprint cars which have been added to the base subscription in addition to the Dirt Micro Sprints, with the former offering 160hp, and the latter reduced to 120hp to make for easier racing in the Rookie class series. The new Outlaw cars will compete in a C-Class series hosted at Millbridge with winged and non-winged versions alternating on a weekly basis.

iRacing Retired Cars:

When iRacing fully retires a car, it’s removed from use entirely. This means you can no longer purchase it, use it for test drives or private leagues, and any replays featuring it will cease to function.
