Endurance fans will be pleased with the Aston Martin Vantage GTE announced for rFactor 2. The legendary British manufacturer joins the existing GTE line-up of the BMW M8, Porsche 991 RSR and Corvette C7R.
Developers Studio 397 recently teased an image stating ‘a fourth player has joined the race’. And it didn’t seem likely to suggest four-player split screen racing. But now it makes more sense, and means more choice for long distance races.
It’s just over a year since the rFactor 2 Endurance Pack was released, with a mix of the GTE and LMP cars, along with bringing in traction control settings for individual cars and racers within a multuplayer session. And a month earlier in May, the Aston Martin GTE raced in its debut FIA World Endurance event at Spa.
So it’s a pretty quick addition to rFactor 2. Probably because the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is already in the game.
There’s no official confirmation of cost, but given that existing additional cars including the Corvette C7R, BMW M8 and Porsche 991 RSR cost £4.63, we’d imagine the Aston Martin Vantage GTE announced for rFactor 2 will come in at the same price.
Speaking of which, if you’ve never tried rFactor 2, then the free demo is available via Steam, and the game is also available on Steam for £25.99.
