SCS Software is being quite cryptic with teasers for a new Map Expansion coming to American Truck Simulator in 2019.
It started with a slightly bizarre video of a diesel-powered bee.
Fortunately the developers have now released a bit more information, and a whole host of screenshots.
As you might expect, ATS fans were quick to start trying to identify the locations featured in the screens, and which area will be added to the game.
So which U.S state is it?
It doesn’t take much research to reveal that Utah will be the new American Truck Simulator map expansion.
The state of Utah has the beehive on its flag, and is nicknamed ‘the Beehive State’. Originally settled by Mormon pioneers, the original name for the territory was Deseret, which apparently is an ancient word for ‘honeybee’.
SCS also mentioned “this state is very diverse in its landscapes. From red rocks to thick forests to great lakes, this state seems to have it all! “
Well, Utah has Red Rock Country, the Great Salt Lake (and various other impressive lakes), and 8 national forets.
And various people have been looking more closely to potentially identify roads including I-15, and torns such as Ogden in Utah.
You can buy American Truck Simulator for the PC via Steam. Obviously no price has been set for the Utah expansion DLC yet, but wed expect it to start around £8.99 given the same price for the Washington, Oregon and New Mexico expansions. The physical edition is available to order via Game, or Amazon.
