Looking to buy a new racing game? Then you might want to check out this FlatOut 4: Total Insanity launch trailer. It’s been developed by Kylotonn, and is out now for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with the PC version following shortly.
It’s hard to believe the FlatOut series actually started in 2004. And if you were a fan of Ultimate Carnage, it’s going to feel very similar – which is a relief after FlatOut 3.
There’s a single player career mode with 20 tracks (including mirrored versions), with multiple routes and hidden shortcuts. Plus there’s a race mode called Assault in which you slowly earn boost which can be spent on powerups.
And there’s the Flatout mode for deathmatches, score attacks and stunts, but sadly no split screen multiplayer. Instead there’s a pass-the-pad stunt mode, which should be fun when you have some friends around.
