MAK-Corp group’s Group C Mod for rFactor 2 was updated to v0.95 on Sunday afternoon.
Based on the super-machines of the 1980s and early 1990s that especially add to the legend of Le Mans, MAK-Corp has built a package of Prototype-class cars. Expanding on the previous 2-car Mazda 787B and Porsche 962C line-up with the Sauber/Mercedes-Benz C11, the cars include custom tuning and tyre compounds appropriate to each of the three models.
Ready for Steam…
To add the Group C mod to your Steam copy of rFactor 2, simply subscribe to the Group C Mod v0.95 page. Approximately 700MB of data will be downloaded and added to your package list. From there, it will automatically be validated and installed when you run the rF2 Launcher. Next, go racing!
Ready for Standalone…
Non-Steam rF2 users can race these prototypes too. Mak-Corp has arranged three hosted options for the Group C v0.95 mod and listed them on this page.

Car-specific changes
The Group C v0.95 arrives with revisions to the earlier car models.
The following changes apply to both the Mazda 787B and Porsche 962C:
- Some inertia figures have been updated to give a more natural movement to the cars. As a result, the cars are more dynamic, providing additional feedback to the driver and making it easier to drive close behind a competitor.
- The tyre wear and degradation curves have changed, giving a better feel over their lifespan.
- A small delay has been added to the H shifter to make it fair against drivers using pads.
Group C v0.95 also modifies the power plant of the Porsche 962C:
- The peak torque on the WSC engine has been reduced from 5500 to 5000 RPM, matching it to the Type 962/72 engine used in the World Sportscar Championship. The new torque range allows drivers to take some corners in a higher gear, helping to conserve fuel in endurance races.
