The Matsusaka Circuit is now available for rFactor 2. The fictional Japanese track is based on a figure-8 layout and any resemblance to the real world circuit at Suzuka is obviously completely incidental.
The fictional Matsusaka opened in the 1960s and has hosted top level open-wheel and GT events. You get access to eight layouts. The Grand Prix, International and East layouts support 54 garage places, and the West layout supports 21 garage places. And all layouts have trackside lighting to be suitable for night racing with headlights.
The 3PA track release was created by Woochoo, and is a 728mb download which can be accessed via Steam.
Matsusaka Layouts:
Grand Prix – 5.81 km / 3.61 miles
The main figure-8 circuit as used for Grand Prix racing, with appropriate additional trackside details, and freshly painted kerbs and white lines.
International – 5.807 km / 3.609 miles
The main figure-8 circuit as used for GT endurance and sprint events, with some variations in trackside details.
International (Old Chicane) – 5.82 km / 3.61 miles
The base figure-8 circuit, but using the tighter original final chicane.
International (West Chicane) – 5.82 km / 3.61 miles
The base figure-8 circuit, but adding a chicane after the hairpin in the Western half of the circuit.
Motorcycle – 5.83 km / 3.62 miles
The base figure-8 circuit as used for motorcycle racing, which uses the Western chicane, and the tight final chicane.
East – 2.240 km / 1.391 miles
A shortened layout using only the Eastern half of the circuit, joined by a tricky variable camber final turn.
West – 3.47 km / 2.160 miles
A shorter version of the base figure-8 layout, based around an alternative start and pit complex in the Western half of the circuit. A short link road bypasses the final chicanes and the Eastern half of the circuit.
West (West Chicane) – 3.48 km / 2.16 miles
The West layout with the addition of the Western Chicane after the hairpin.
