It’s been announced that Eutechnyx has accepted an offer for assets related to the ‘NASCAR Team Proporties licensed video game business’ from DMI, Inc.
Although the exact terms aren’t shared, Eutechnyx has been publishing licensed NASCAR games since 2010 across console, PC and mobile and has since released Auto Club Revolution, which will now received an expanded focus. The free-to-play PC racing game is set to the first title of its kind to be released in the Chinese market.
“We are extremely proud that, back in 2010, Eutechnyx adopted an innovative approach to the NASCAR franchise. We brought new levels of authenticity and previously unseen styles of gameplay, applying our expertise to the hugely involved world of stock car racing.” said Eutechnyx CEO Darren Jobling “We are extremely proud that, back in 2010, Eutechnyx adopted an innovative approach to the NASCAR franchise. We brought new levels of authenticity and previously unseen styles of gameplay, applying our expertise to the hugely involved world of stock car racing.
DMi is led by game industry veterans Tom Dusenberry and Ed Martin, and is headquarted in Charlotte, North Carolina, which is not coincidentally, the home of the NASCAR industry. It’s a subsidiary of a company called HC2 Holdings which has subsidiary companies across everything from construction and offshore engineering to gaming.
