Milestone has announced Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo will arrive for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in Autumn 2015, featuring the legendary nine-time World Rally Champion. It’s described as an ‘uncompromising rally simulator’, which suggests it’ll be a fairly realistic experience. And obviously Milestone are building on their previous work with WRC FIA World Rally Championship 4, which was released in 2014.
The first details are the game modes which will be available:
Career Mode: You’ll apparently get to live the life of a rally driver, although hopefully without having to get up at 4am somewhere cold and wet. The aim will be to compete and gain a place on Sebastien Loeb’s team, where he will mentor and guide you through your progression.
Offline Mode: Work on your skills and perfect your driving style (Presumably tutorials, time trials etc).
Online Modes: Challenge friends and rivals
The game will be developed by Milestone and published by PQube. It’ll be interesting to see how far it goes towards realism, given the evolution of the last series which carried the name of a rally star (As Codemasters went from Colin McCrae to DiRT). Certainly they’ve picked the right man to carry the weight of the title, with Loeb continuing to race at the age of 40. Having completed various rallies in 2013, and setting a new record for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, he stays with Peugeot but switches to World Touring Cars for 2014.
