Kunos Simulazioni have been busy in recent weeks securing more manufacturers and cars for Assetto Corsa. And that’s good news for fans of the PC simulation, as models from both Chevrolet and RUF will be available in the game shortly.
Chevrolet in Assetto Corsa:
The first license deal announced means that the Chevrolet Corvette is coming to Assetto Corsa, with the Chevrolet C7 Stingray 2014 available as free content. The new Chevrolet Corvette C.7 race car will also be accessible as part of the Assetto Corsa Dream Pack, which includes a total of ten cars and the legendary Nurburgring Nordschliefe track.
RUF in Assetto Corsa:
Also just announced is the addition of an official RUF Automobile license to bring three of the famed cars to Assetto Corsa. The first work-in-progress images have been released, showing development of the RUF CTR Yellowbird. Originally based on the 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2, the Yellowbird offered 469hp, a low weight of 1,170kg, and a top speed of 211mph, beating competition such as the Ferrari F40 and Porsche 959 to be the fastest sports car in the world at the time.
The most recent update for Assetto Corsa, Early Access Update 0.7.5 was released on March 14th, and included the Pagani Huayra as a new car plus a number of fixes and the option to turn damage off.
