Three Radical prototype racers will not only appear in Project CARS, but will also play a pivotal role in the career mode. The selection begins with the Radical SR3.
You’ll get the Radical SR3 RS version, powered by a 260hp Powertec 1500cc 4-cylinder engine. And once you’ve got the hang of that, you’ll have the option to move up to the Radical SR8 RX, which gives you a 430hp, 2.7 litre V8 engine. So far, so good – and as more than 800 SR3s have been built in various configurations, we’ve all seen the open top racers enough that they’re fairly familiar.
But the third in the list is the Radical RXC Turbo. This upcoming model is powered by a Ford Ecoboost 3.5 litre Turbo producing 460bhp. It also has a roof, and it is fully road-legal.
All of which makes it exciting in both Project CARS and in real life. Fortunately for most of us, Project CARS will give us an affordable way to experience the RXC Turbo when the game appears in Autumn 2014 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam OS, PC and Wii U.
