Former Formula One champion Kimi Raikkonen is leading a busy life at the moment. In addition to driving in the first race of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and then the 2011 Acropolis: The Rally of the Gods, the first game based on the ‘Kimi Raikkonen franchise’ has been announced for iPhone, iPad and another smartphones.
Ice One Racing will focus on ‘four unique racing types, representative of Kimi’s experience and passion for each’, with a ‘progressive play experience based on this multi-faceted platform’ which ‘will give players increased levels of difficulty and a means for which to engage with Kimi and his skill’.
So we’re guessing you’ll do some ice racing and truck racing. The other two could be generic rallying and F1, although it’ll probably depend on what legal rules are in place for licencing. What we do know is that apparently it’ll get harder as you progress, and you’re likely to have to race against Kimi himself at some point. As for a ‘multi-faceted platform’, we can only guess they’re either referring to the fact that the iPhone/iPad both have very shiny surfaces, which we’re not sure really impacts on the game…
