Auto Club Revolution slipped by us for various reason, so rather than making excuses, here’s the lowdown on the browser-based racing game due to launch in 2011.
ACR takes place within your PC browser, allowing you to buy and sell cars, test drive and examine new vehicles and enter multi-player races. More than 45 manufacturers have provided details to allow their cars to be recreated including Jaguar, Lotus, Bugatti, McLaren, Pagani, BMW, Mini, Bentley and Chevrolet. You’ll be able to try current and historical cars, plus several companies plan to premier concept and pre-production cars in the game, giving you the chance to try them out before anyone else.
It’s free to play, and aims to make money with premium items you’ll be able to buy in game. And it also aims to build a strong community which will shape the game by picking the cars, tracks and cities you want featured – voting is available at http://vote.autoclubrevolution.com and the game should launch in early 2011. There’s no word on minimum computer specs as yet, and details are sparse, but there are some renders below to entertain you in the meantime.
